Today we began with unit. Students are continuing to finish their shield posters. About half of the class has completely finished, whilst the other half are almost finished. The students who have finished, worked on making a symbol for P2 and/or researched various symbols on the iPad. The shields are looking wonderful. You are always welcome to come in and take a look ^^
Next, we had math. In math we have been reviewing our learning. On Friday I will be giving students a test that covers the content below.
- addition
- subtraction
- number lines
- word problems
- comparing numbers
To end the day we did our Daily Five. We talked about our voice and how we can improve our fluency. Sometimes when we read out loud it can sound really boring or like a robot. Fluency is a skill that many students struggle with. Students worked really hard to make their voices sound like the characters while doing read-to-self and read-to-someone. We will continue to work on this during each reading session.
Please remember that homework is due on Friday. Students were given their Razkids passwords today. If you would like access to your child's reading reports, please send back the form to ensure this can happen.
